Privacy Policy

Overview

Edge Tools is built to respect your privacy. The app has no backend server: we do not collect or sell personal data, and your files and the data you process are never uploaded to us or stored by us.

This policy covers both this marketing site (edgetools.io) and the Edge Tools app (app.edgetools.io).

Your files stay on your device

The tools in the app run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Files you open, convert or process are handled locally on your machine and are not transmitted to any server. Most tools continue to work offline once the page has loaded.

Analytics

We use privacy-first analytics (Simple Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and respects the Do Not Track signal. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Local storage

This site stores a single small preference in your browser — your light/dark theme choice — so the site remembers it on your next visit. The app may store your preferences and recent activity locally in your browser (for example in IndexedDB) so it can restore your work; this data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.

Browser extensions (Bridge)

The optional Edge Tools Bridge extension lets tools fetch resources from the web when a site blocks cross-origin requests. It acts only on the request you initiate, forwards it from your browser, and does not send your data to us.
