Edge Tools Bridge

A tiny, optional browser extension that unlocks the tools that need the network — REST and GraphQL clients, TLS and security scanners, site crawlers, media and repo downloaders — while keeping everything else exactly where it belongs: on your device.

Free · no account · dormant until a tool needs it.

How it works

Edge Tools runs entirely in your browser, so it can't reach other sites — the browser's cross-origin rules block those requests. The Bridge relays only the request you start, forwards it from your own browser, and hands the response back to the tool. It keeps no history and sends nothing to us.

1

Install the extension

Add the Bridge to Chrome or Firefox in one click. It stays dormant until a tool needs it.

2

Reload Edge Tools

Open or refresh the app. It detects the Bridge automatically — no keys, no setup.

3

Network tools light up

The tools that need the internet appear and just work, right alongside the rest.

What the Bridge unlocks

A handful of tools genuinely need to reach the network. The Bridge is the private, opt-in way to run them.

Live HTTP clients

Send real requests to any API, endpoint or server and read the raw response.

Security inspection

Inspect response headers and a site's security posture straight from live servers.

Web reconnaissance

Map a site's pages and discover its subdomains.

Remote fetch & import

Pull files, media and repositories from any URL straight into your tools.

Private by design

The Bridge is the deliberate, opt-in exception to our nothing-leaves-your-device promise — and it stays true to it.

  • Opt-in — nothing runs until you install it and start a request.
  • Single purpose — it only relays the cross-origin request you initiate.
  • Forwarded from your own browser, never through our servers.
  • Keeps no history of the URLs you fetch or their contents.
  • Collects no data, has no analytics, and asks only for the permissions it needs.

Add the Bridge and unlock every tool

Install once — the network tools are ready the next time you open Edge Tools.
